When we upgrade our domain to Notes/Domino 6 from 5.0.11 one of the servers starts to crash. Thethe others perform flawlessly.
There are no significant differences in the OS environment. The servers are running Windows 2000 Server with SP3.
It seams as it is the NSERVER.EXE task that chrashes
The crash did first happen when mail was delivered to a user on the server. It was delivered OK to mail.box but crashed immediately when the router tries to open a maildatabase. After upgrading the ODS to R6 the problem seemed to go away when we tested for several users. When we replicate the maildocuments from another server where the mail is delivered it functions better, but still crashes from time to time.
Unfortunately, when users started to access the server today it crashed again, without any mail delivery on the server.
Every time we change the mailserver in the person document and a mail is delivered to a user the server now crashes. We have to remove the maildocument from mail.box before we restart the server, if we do not, the server immediately crashes.
Some times the server runs for hours (like this night without users, but busy running compact on all databases), other times the servers runs just for 15 minutes with a few users. There are never many users on the server, only below 10. The server has only 50 users defined with maildatabases. Total size of all databases is only 25 GB.
